Our history
Demikraj Orchard is located at the foothill of an oil palm estate in Johol, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. We bought this 4 acres land in 2012 and at the time this land has already been planted with fruit trees such as durian, dokong, rambutan and other trees. Now the durian trees have matured and started to bear fruits. So do the rambutan, dokong and petai (bitter bean) trees. However, when we first bought this land, it was heavily covered with jungle trees and thick thorny bushes and shrubs. It took Musa a couple of years to clear the land manually using chainsaw, grass cutter, parang, hoe and other tools. Using backhoes, two fishing ponds were dug for recreational catch and release fishing activities. We also rear free range chickens, geeses, pea hens, turkeys and ducks. The temperature drops as low as 24 degrees celcius at night which is nice for a tropical country like Malaysia. We do offer some basic necessities to our visitors such as toilets (sitting and squatting with shower heads), central camp with cooking facilities, tables and chairs, fridge and resting area prior to setting up camping tents. We do have running tap water and electrical facilities for charging phones etc. Also a BBQ station for visitors to enjoy barbequing while spending quality time with family. We do not offer any internet or media such as TV or radio facilities.
Our charges are only RM 10 per pitching of standard tent for two people/night and RM 10/visitor/night. Visitors are preferably Muslims, required to have legal relationships such as husband and wife and are forbidden to perform any unlawful act as a Muslim and citizen of Malaysia. For durian season camping, the charges are again only RM 10 per standard tent for two people/night and RM 25/visitor/night. This charge includes all you can eat durians during the stay.
